The Brandson Tower Fan with Water Cooling and Humidifier works by evaporative cooling: a fan blows air through a damp pad, and the evaporating water draws heat out of the air. Worth knowing upfront: an evaporative cooler doesn't lower room temperature the way an air conditioner does. It creates a cool airflow right where it stands, while raising humidity. In small, well-ventilated rooms that's pleasant; it won't bring a bedroom down in the height of summer. In exchange, everything that makes an air conditioner complicated disappears: no exhaust hose, no window that has to stay open, no installation. Plug it in, fill the tank, done. Power draw is 55 W — noticeably less than any compressor-based unit.
