The KESSER Split Air Conditioner 9000 BTU is a split system: the compressor sits outside, with only the indoor unit staying in the room. That's the key difference from a portable monoblock unit: with no compressor in the room it stays quiet, and with no exhaust hose there's no need to leave a window ajar — which would otherwise let in exactly the warm air you just pushed out. The system delivers 9,000 BTU (2,600 watts cooling capacity). That reliably cools a room of around 25 to 35 m². In winter, the unit works as a heat pump and heats: one kilowatt-hour of electricity becomes several kilowatt-hours of heat.
